Overview

Lottoland is the biggest and best known of the new online lottery gaming sites. They launched in May 2013 and now offer bets on 21 lotteries from around the world.

You may know them from their UK TV advertising campaign, fronted by the host of ITVs Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Chris Tarrant.

At Lottoland, rather than purchasing tickets for each lottery, customers place a bet on the outcome of the draw. Each bet is insured, and in the event of a player matching any winning combination of numbers, the insurance company pays out the same prize as the official lottery.

This is called Lottery Betting.

Placing Your Lottery Bets

Lottoland have created a fantastic online experience on both their website, and App. It’s quick and easy to find the lottery you want to play, and once you’re there, choosing your numbers and placing your bet is easy as 1,2,3.

The quickest and easiest way to play at Lottoland is the Quick Picks option – 6 tickets are filled out with numbers chosen at random. But if you want to choose your own numbers, you can go for the single lines option instead.

You can also subscribe to any draw, renewing your bets for up to 52 weeks at a time. This will save you coming back to make a new purchase each week. You can activate the subscription option simply by ticking the box under your tickets and choosing your billing period.

Remember, you can always opt out of your subscription at any time.

Special Features

Lottoland offer some great special features to make your lottery betting even more exciting. The Double Jackpot feature pays out twice the amount paid out by the official lottery for a jackpot win. It costs twice as much to play for Double Jackpot as a normal game.

The Jackpot Hunt feature allows you to subscribe to a lottery until the current jackpot is won.  You can also subscribe to jackpots of a minimum amount for any given lottery. Your numbers will be entered into every draw from the time the jackpot reaches your specified amount.

Payouts

Placing a lottery bet is the same as buying a ticket online, and the payouts are the same too – the Lottoland prize tiers follow the same structure as the real lottery.

All lottery prizes are paid out as lump sums direct to your Lottoland account, except the jackpots.

Jackpots can be paid out as lump sums or as annual sums paid out over 10, 20 or 30 years, or over a lifetime. Lottoland offer bonuses to players who choose to have their winnings paid out in instalments. The bonuses are as follows:

  • 10 year plan: 1% of winnings
  • 20 year plan: 2% of winnings
  • 30 year plan: 3% of winnings
  • Lifetime plan: 5% of winnings

The bonus payments are paid immediately on choosing one of the “Cash Cow” plans.

Banking

Lottoland offer the following deposit methods:

Visa, Mastercard, Neteller, Skrill or Paysafecard.

Withdrawlas at Lottoland are made directly to a registered debit or credit card, or directly to your bank account.

Important Note:

Lottoland will take money from your stored bank card if there is not a sufficient balance in your Lottoland account. You should be aware of this when you are making bets as it will be easy to spend without the check of running down your account and making a further deposit.

We recommend you set a daily limit on your spend and take care not to exceed it.

Scratchcard Games

As well as the 21 international lottery games on offer at Lottoland you can also play scratchcards with prizes of up to £1,000,000.

Slos and Casino Games

Lottoland recently added a suite of slots and table games to their site. You can play popular slot games like Starburst, Gonzo’s Quest and Guns n Roses slots. These games provide fantastic entertainment and great prizes when you unlock the special features.
